Joel ‘Boogie’ St. John
Creative, Authentic, Spirited, and Inspirational. These are the few words that reflect this musical powerhouse. March 14, 1990, Joel ‘Boogie’ St. John was born into the world and from an early age, Joel showed a vast imagination when it came to the arts. At the age of 9 his parents felt it was expedient to put him into piano lessons but like most kids that age, piano was boring and monotonous. Looking for another venture Joel picked up drumming at his local church and experiencing ministry on this level opened his eyes to how important a real and authentic relationship with God was. By the age of 13, he made Jesus his Personal Lord and Savior and by high school it was evident that he was beginning to manifest a powerful gift of oration. A burning desire to help elevate his peers pushed Boogie to find another outlet and he found it in Hip Hop. Blending his sonic influences of Gospel, Neo-Soul, Electronica, and Southern music in his production shows created endless creative possibilities in his message. With God’s wisdom and guidance leaving a lasting impact on his generation is one step away. Boogie “here to stay and forever in history”
